Good Performance Will Lead To Good Gaming Experience

If you add two separate hard drives instead of one that also improves the overall performance of your system because the OS will be installed on separate hard drive and games on the other. Windows will use disk to but will never get high usage, every hard drive has a Read and Write limits and higher the percentage the slower the tasks get done, example if your antivirus is scanning hard drive-1 then second one will not be in use by the scanner, giving your hard drive good peak performance. Games use hard drive a lot and it is best to if the disk is not in use. Example if you play a video and start a game both are using the disk and there is a limit for hard drive READ/WRITE, keeping OS and Games separate will lower disk usage and will result is good performance.

Performance Improvement Tricks

If you update your windows regularly then you don’t need to worry about performance because most updates are for fixing security, bugs, performance issues but for some that's not enough so a few more tricks will help you improve over all performance of you PC so keep on reading.
Best way to understand the problem is to know what piece of the hardware is misused or needs upgrade, to do that right click on your task bar and select “TASK MANAGER” then go to performance tab and on the left sidebar you’ll find CPU, Memory, Hard Disk stats, what you need to check regularly is that what is being used a lot, if any of these are being used up to 90% to 100% then that’s the problem you need to fix, add more Ram or Upgrade your hardware to a new one will most likely fix your problems, if you play games then focus on games requirements for that game, at least you should be close to the requirements. If your PC is older than 2years, you really need to consider buying a new PC that is only if you use latest software and you are having performance issues. Disable applications that auto start from task-manager tab start up or when you logon to your windows account, for example Skype, Internet download managers, etc… Always start such applications manually if you don’t have latest hardware. Also keep in mind that Ram needs to be 20% free at all times for it to function normally so if your Ram is getting used up to 90% then you need more ram or upgrade your PC and if you have reached a point where you can not add more ram like to fix that problem that means you just need to buy a latest hardware a full upgrade.

6TB Hard-Drive Improve Hard drive Performance

C:\Drive needs at least 5GB to 15GB free space to work correctly because if windows downloaded updates that are of 5GB then they also need to be uncompressed for that reason you need free space, plus restore points takes up space for backup in cause of update failure to restore/rollback. So when you install Windows make sure you know what applications you’ll install and amount of disk space they’ll use, fresh copy of windows will use nearly 10GB but if you plan on installing updates regularly then consider 20GB to 30GB more + applications that you use + 15GB free space, if you have 500GB then make C drive at least 100GB so you don’t have to worry about running out of disk space in C:\ Drive.
Only thing you need to worry about is what applications you have installed, if there are applications that you rarely use, just uninstall them or only install application with good reputation for example if you only use Microsoft Word then only install MS-Word and unchecked others like MS-PowerPoint etc.
