GAMEPLAY

BioShock Infinite ScreenshotThe player is in control of an agent, Booker Dewitt, sent to rescue Elizabeth from a floating city. The game has won “Game of the Year” award for story, music, art, etc. Just like BioShock and BioShock 2 that game has the same combat features but with new story and added features. Throughout the story, the player has to make a choice, each choice made by the player will make minor changes on the story. The player can pass through Columbia on foot or by riding the Sky-Line (roller coaster like rail based system for moving cargo around Columbia), where the player will face a number of enemies. The player has to work with Elizabeth once she’s been rescued. The player has to collect food, medical kits, salt, ammo, and cash for his survival and in order to complete the missions.
BioShock Infinite ScreenshotWhile the player is dealing with enemies, Elizabeth will search the area for ammo, medical kits, salts and other items and tosses them to the player. There are vending machines throughout the city for buying ammo, powerful upgrades for weapons and other items using money. If the player completes the Easy & Normal modes or the Hard difficulties then a new mode is unlocked, a “1999 Mode” with even more increased difficulty. 1999 Mode can be unlocked by cheat code which seems pointless unless you’re up for it.

There are three type of enemies:
(1) Standard Enemies are the Founders and Vox Populi forces. (2) Heavy Hitters are the mini bosses aligned with Founders that are more difficult enemies. (3) Basic Automatons are armed machines that act as a security defense system with fixed Gun and Rockets and flying Mosquitoes.
BioShock Infinite ScreenshotElizabeth requires no protection and protect herself and has the ability to pick locks using her hairpin and hairpin can be collected same as any item in the city. One hairpin unlocks only one lock and cannot be reused. These locked doors & safes store valuable or hidden items. She can also open one Tear at a time, giving the player options suitable in the battle.
Weapons/Ammo: The player can carry two weapons at a time and ammo can be collected after defeating an enemy or can be found in random locations around the city.
Shield will regenerate after a few seconds after taking damage.
Health can be restored by using medical kits and food. If the player dies, he will be revived to a safe location but loses small amount of money, regains limited health with additional ammo and local enemies are also somewhat healed.

BioShock Infinite ScreenshotVigors are the equivalent to Plasmids from previous titles. The player can gain powers and abilities through Vigors, Gears, and Infusions that are found scattered around the city. When Vigors are activated they provide powers such as: (1) Create shock-waves, (2) Release electricity bolts (3) Control over a machine or human. Similar to EVE and Magic Points in BioShock, Salt is required for powering the abilities and can be found throughout the city.
Gears: The player gains: Damage resistance (similar to Tonics) and more strength. Gears are divided into four slots: (1) Hats, (2) Shirts, (3) Pants, (4) Boots and extra gears are stored in the player’s inventory.

STORY (BioShock Infinite, 2013)

BioShock Infinite ScreenshotBioShock Infinite, story takes place on a floating steampunk city of Columbia in year 1912. Booker DeWitt is taken to a lighthouse off the coast on an island of Maine by Robert and Rosalind Lutece. Booker DeWitt is faced with mounting gambling debt; he’s told to bring the girl to wipe away the debt. Booker enters a lighthouse, which appears to be doubled as a rocket silo that transports him to Columbia.

The city’s authorities chase Booker as soon as they discover a scar of the letters “AD,” that matches the description of an expected “False Shepherd” who will corrupt Elizabeth and takeover Columbia. After Booker barely escapes her imprisoner, “Songbird”, he frees Elizabeth from her tower and promises to take her Paris but when she realizes that Booker is taking her to New York city to wipe his debt, the crying Elizabeth knocks out Booker. When Booker awakes and he finds that Daisy Fitzroy is in control of the airship. Daisy Fitzroy offers to return the ship if Booker helps Elizabeth to arm the Vox Populi (underground protesters). Vox Populi is led by Daisy Fitzroy that is a resistance group fighting the “Founders” (rulers of Columbia) for the rights. The resistance group is struggling from a very harsh fighting for years’ conflict more out of blind hatred, resulting in more violent and inhuman techniques.
BioShock Infinite Screen shotAs soon as Booker and Elizabeth try to leave the airship, Songbird attacks them and they crash back to Columbia from where they continue ahead.
Together they uncover a conspiracy behind the city’s founding: Zachary Hale Comstock had the Lutece twins construct "Siphon", a device that prevented Elizabeth from using her powers. Elizabeth is Comstock's adopted daughter, he planned to raise her into taking over after his death and Comstock planned to kill his wife and the Lutece(s) to hide the truth. After Songbird captures Elizabeth and Booker chases her, but ends up in an old facility where he finds snow on the ground, although month is July. It becomes obvious to him that he is in year 1984, and has been brought there by Elizabeth. However, Booker fails to stop Songbird, while the elderly Elizabeth suffers years of sorrow and brainwashing as she becomes a Comstock’s tool and waging war on the world. The old Elizabeth tells Booker how to control Songbird and how he can return him back to his timeline 1912.
Brooker rescues Elizabeth and then together they chase Comstock to his airship. Comstock demands Booker to explain Elizabeth about her past but Brooker rejects any knowledge about Elizabeth’s missing little finger, while she believes he has simple forgotten. By controlling Songbird, they order Songbird to destroy the Siphon, they stop a Vox Populi attack. As soon as Songbird turns on Booker again, Elizabeth powers are fully restored, allowing her to open a Tear. She then transports to the underwater city of Rapture, where they get materialized inside the city safely and Songbird outside the city where he gets crushed by the deep water pressure and dies.
Anna: Is the daughter of Booker DeWitt, she is abducted by Comstock since childhood, to provide a biological inheritor for Columbia.
BioShock Infinite ScreenshotElizabeth then takes Booker to the lighthouse on the surface, where she explains to him that there are countless other lighthouses and other versions of Booker and Elizabeth within one infinite possible realities, depending on the choices they make. Elizabeth shows Brooker that on (October 8 1893), on behalf of Comstock, Robert Lutece approached Brooker and requested him to give the girl and in exchange he would wipe his gambling debts, referring to Booker’s infant daughter, Anna DeWitt – Booker’s “AD” naming. Booker had no other choice but to agreed, and still he chased Comstock as he hardly escaped through a Tear, and closing of the Tear cut off Anna’s finger. Comstock had raised Anna as his own daughter, Elizabeth. Elizabeth cut-off finger, causes her to exist in two realities simultaneously, is the source of her ability to create Tears in the fabric of space-time, allowing her to time travel. Robert Lutece, angry at Comstock's actions, forced Rosalind to help him bring Booker to the reality, where Columbia exists to rescue Elizabeth.
BioShock Infinite ScreenshotElizabeth explains Brooker that Comstock will always remain alive in alternate universes, just as the Lutece(s) from other realities have engaged with many other Booker(s) in other realities (alternate universes) to end the cycle. Elizabeth then takes Booker back in time to a baptism that he attended. She explains that, while Booker changed his mind, some Bookers accepted the baptism and were reborn as “Zachary Comstock”. Comstock aware of his connection to Booker and infertility from over using the Lutece “Tear machine”, Comstock abducted Anna to provide a biological inheritor for Columbia. Booker joined by other universe Elizabeths at the baptism, allows them to drown him at the moment of his baptismal choice, therefore stopping Comstock's existence. One by one, the Elizabeths begin to disappear from all realities, the screen cutting to black on the last.
Post-credits scene: A Booker from an alternate universe wakes up in his apartment on (October 8, 1893) and calls out for Anna and opens the door to her room before the screen cuts to black. (STORY TO BE CONTINUED!)
