The player is in control of Sam Fisher a spymaster, whose objective is to put an end to a terrorist organization called "the Engineers", that has threatened United States government to recall all troops deployed abroad and Sam Fisher objectives are to defeat enemies through lethal or non-lethal methods before attacks happen. The game highly depends on the player strategy using gadgets and depending on the surrounding environment in different situations, which makes the game interesting and fun. The game is ranked 9/10. Enemies become alerted when they see the dead bodies of their companions and to avoid this the player has to hide the dead bodies where enemies are not patrolling, loud gun fire can also alert the near by enemies so gun silencer plays a great role in the game. Trained enemy dogs can also alert the enemies and will attack if the player comes in a certain radios or will become suspicious with enemy cent and to avoid this the player has to use stun gun or sleep gas or gadgets to avoid the dog from alerting the enemies. Player can hide in dark shadows so lights play a great role in the game, blowing the lights will alert the enemies nearby and the enemy will use a flashlight in the dark to check the area. Player can also kill the enemy with a knife from behind which is also the most important part in stealth mode. Player can climb walls, jump in and out of broken windows and can break glass windows however breaking a glass window will make great noise and will alert nearby enemies and to avoid this player can simply open the windows. Player can hide behind objects such as walls, cars, bushes and any place were enemies can't see. Player is equipped with night vision goggles that help see in the dark.

Player also has a surveillance device called Trirotor, which can be deployed to spy on enemies locations and create distractions using noise and also has explosive to self-detonated by the player while watching through the device as enemies come near a certain radius. Player can climb on pipes. The mark-and-executive system allows the player to perform an attack to kill all the marked enemies instantly while they are visible, this feature is very helpful when you're in playing in stealth mode and in most situations its very helpful when you don't wish to get noticed by dogs and security guards.
When players kill or avoid killing the targets and complete the objectives, experience points and money is awarded, which is used to unlock weapons, suits and gadgets that can be bought by the player and gadgets have upgrades.

Game's graphics is great, the environment plays a great role in stealth combat situations. The Paladin is an aircraft that acts as the game's hub and the player can interact with different crew members in the aircraft and take a glimpse of the game's objectives and change gadgets and upgrade weapons before going to missions. This is one those games that you'll never get tired of playing because how you end the story depends on you entirely. Each mission can be completed in a very different style, that depends on the player skills and how player attacks the enemies and what the difficulty level is selected, I always play the game from easy to the insane level. That way I learn more about the game controls and attack techniques. The player has a lot of choices of weapons and suits that can be upgraded. As you complete missions you will be rewarded, rewards also depend on how you complete the missions. The money you get from the missions can be used for unlocking weapons, suites, gadgets and some aircraft upgrades. I love snipers =)
